A special clutch for a special bike. The NSF250R is a full blown Moto3 racebike, the only ‘designed to race’ motorcycle still in production. With no electric or kick starter fitted starting has to be by bump so we have built in a special mechanism to lock the slipper clutch function while the bike is being started. Using magnets and small steel rollers the clutch is only locked at very low revs. Once the engine is doing over 1500 rpm the clutch is free to slip as usual.
The clutch provides all the normal slipper clutch benefits with better over-rev protection and improved chassis stability going into corners.
Five ramp, wet type.
Automatic locking system for starting.
